93 Please Note! Families who have 4 children and more are not required to file a claim to the NII in order to receive the grant. A single parent family is required to file a claim only for the first time. The claim must be submitted within 18 months from the date of becoming eligible. Whoever files after that, will receive the grant only for the 18 months prior to the date of the claim. Those who are automatically eligible for the grant will receive it in their bank account by the 11th of August. If you have not received the grant, you should turn to the NII. Alimony - Child support (Dmei Mezonot) The objective of the Alimony Act (Hok Mezonot) is to aid women and children to whom a court has awarded maintenance payments but who do not receive payments from the obligated party, on condition that they do not have income above a certain amount (sometimes the parent living with the children is the father and the mother is the obligated party). In order to receive maintenance payments (Dmei Mezonot), one is required to submit a claim to the NII, and enclose the court ruling and confirmations of income. When calculating eligibility for maintenance payments, the NII takes into account all types of income, from work and from other sources, including allowances. If one has a low income and is eligible for maintenance payments, the NII pays the eligible person a monthly payment and takes steps in order to collect the sum of maintenance payments ruled by the court from the obligated party. Maintenance payments are paid every month for a child for whom the court has ruled maintenance payments, until the age of 18. Assured income (Havtachat Hachnasa) Assured income (havtachat hachnasa) is paid to a person and to a family who are unable to obtain enough income for their maintenance. Someone who does not have any income at all may be eligible for a full sum, and someone who has a low income may be eligible for a partial sum - a supplementary income (hashlamat hachnasa). Eligibility is determined according to the general financial state of the person or the family and according to other

For instance, in the case of a pregnant woman, starting from the 13th week of her pregnancy, the other spouse must meet the income and occupational criteria. Please Note! An assured income allowance may also be allocated to people who own a vehicle, in accordance with certain conditions that are determined by the NII (such as the value of the vehicle and other factors).
