125 According to the law, every citizen has the right to complain to the Commissioner of Public complaints over a deed or an oversight involving the following: an illegal act or one done without authority or an act of blatant injustice. The State Comptroller’s office accepts complaints involoving government offices, local councils and public institutions. It is possible to complain within one year of the incident, or from the time the complainant has become aware of the offensive event. The Commissioner will investigate the complaint and submit the findings to the complainant. Pointing out the need for correcting the problem is under the competence of the commissioner.
